TRIBUN-BALI.COM - As part of an ongoing effort to respect Bali’s rich cultural heritage, Alaya Resort Ubud will host a week of temple festivities from Friday, 12th April to Wednesday, 17th April 2019.
In conjunction with the resort’s temple anniversary, also known as piodalan, this series of exciting events will include a Macapat & Mekidung Competition, Gebogan Competition, Mereresik Competition, Ngias Pelinggih, Tirta Yatra and Piodalan Ceremony.
During this week of religious activities, Alaya Resort Ubud will invite all in-house guests as well as media partners to experience this unique temple festival.
They will be given the opportunity to dress in traditional sarongs and pray with us to express gratitude for all of the blessings bestowed by God Almighty.
The ceremony will also reinforce the resort’s commitment to Tri Hita Karana, a Balinese Hindu lifestyle philosophy that is all about maintaining a harmonious balance between mankind (Pawongan), the environment (Palemahan) and God Almighty (Parahyangan).

Driven by his passion for Western cuisine, Chef Ganesha is expected to inject innovation and energy into both dining venues at Alaya Resort Ubud.
Chef Ganesha brings nearly 10 years of culinary experience from around the world to this new role.
Originally from Jakarta, he has held senior positions at several star-rated hotels and restaurants around Indonesia as well as international destinations such as Dubai and Doha.
